VALENCIA BY BUS

Aktualisiert: 14. Apr. 2023

[Switzerland – Spain] Enjoy the Spanish scenery in the overnight bus to Valencia.

The journey

We started our journey around 21:00 in Bern. As we drove through the night, we enjoyed three movies and lively conversations with our fellow travelers.

After covering some distance, we stopped at a bus stop in France, where we took a short stroll, brushed our teeth, and caught some much-needed sleep.

Good company, lots of snacks, a bottle of wine and some downloaded movies and the journey are essential for a such a bus journey!

Waking up in the morning, we found ourselves already in Northern Spain. We grabbed some more snacks and stretched our legs before continuing our journey.

The landscapes were breath taking, and the hours passed quickly as we enjoyed the stunning scenery. But make sure to have some movies or some card games for this part ready as well. At 14:00 we arrived in Valencia and were ready to hit the beach.

Valencia

When exploring the city, make sure to check out our tips for the best restaurants in Valencia - this city has some truly amazing cuisine to offer.

Whether you're looking for a city trip or a beach vacation, Valencia has it all

We have been to Valencia a few times now and there are always new restaurants to discover.

When you are in the city you can get everywhere by foot but for longer distances I recommend Valenbisi or Yego, check out that tip as well for more information.

Useful Information

  • Restaurante Copenhagen: Very tasty vegetarian food, you will not miss the meat there! A reservation is necessary.

  • For further destinations (e.g. going from the city to the beach) you can take electric motorcycles from the company “Yego”. You do not need a special driver’s license (normal Swiss car license is enought)

  • In Valencia you can move around with bikes from the company Valenbisi which are very cheap and there are many stations all around the city – so you can just hop on and off.

  • We travelled with “Domo Reisen” which also stops in St. Gallen and Zurich.

  • The bus stops at various locations in Spain so you could also hop out at earlier stops and hop back in the next day or take the train.
